I'll add it later here or on another post if I have another designs. Hope you like it :)
Some people who wanted to build a fansite (usually called master) asked me how to install xpressengine so i hope this tutorial might help.
- Go to xpressengine.com for XE (I called XpressEngine as XE from now) english version
- Click download so you can see:
- First we need to have XE Core to build XE so just download it (XpressEngine Core any version)
- Once you got the package (.zip) let it like that. Don't unpacked/extract it
- Go to your site cpanel (it usually: cpanel. yourdomain for example if your domain site name “maijesty.com” then go to cpanel.maijesty.com . Or it based on your webhosting gave to you for access your cpanel
- You got cpanel access. Go to File Manager. Put the XE package you just installed in public_html folder. Then extract it there
- Back to your cpanel dashboard (it's not close yet right bc when you clicked the file manager it opened the new tab
- Go to mysql database. Create a new database and a newuser. For example: database is frankey and new user is ourkey. And then combined them (add user to database)
- so I assume you finish creating a database and extract your XE Core in public_html with folder name “xe”. Now: go to yourdomain/xe (for example: maijesty.com/xe). You'll face something like this
Here you go. just follow the instruction there. Next next next. PS: Type your database name and username and password in the Database information correctly, same as you create in my swl database before.
Well.. It's easy right? You just finished install XE so you can customize your site with XE.
